2nd August - 5th August 2024

The Kirkcudbright Arts & Crafts Trail
We will be opening the studio to one and all between the 2nd and the 5th of August as part of the Kirkcudbright Art & Crafts Trail. Just look for location 102 on the Trail Map!

Print your own WANTED poster!
We will also be selling smuggler's wanted posters (£10) and allowing visitors to typeset their own name using vintage wooden type and print it onto the poster using a vintage Albion press.

We will have prints for sale
We will have several prints for sale. The theme for the trail this year is to celebrate the 200 year anniversary of the so many of the prints will have a nautical theme.

Just a short walk from the RNLI trainging station is an abandoned boat called the Wellspring. It's a well known sight in Kirkcudbright and I walk past this wreck often so I decided to create a print which mirrors its name plate. I also wrote a short poem to go with this and 100% of the profits from this poem will go to Kirkcudbright Lifeboat Station.

Letterpressed Button Badges
We'll also be selling button badges (£1) printed on a vintage press. These can be of your initial or a decorative symbol from a printing block.

The Kirkcudbright Art and Crafts Trail is an outpouring of creativity showing the work of the vast number of artists, craft makers and businesses in the town. Kirkcudbright throws open it's doors and invites you to step inside the wonderful creative places, gardens, workshops and homes.

This year we have 139 exhibitors will taking part in this artistic explosion, at around 100 venues within Kirkcudbright itself. You’ll enjoy opportunities to chat informally with artists and makers, purchase work and you can even make or paint something yourself! A free trail guide and map is available to help you make the most of this event. Don't forget we're number 102 on the map, come and say "Hi!".
